The vicious cycle of being normal sized- over sized-normal sized-over sized is as circular as the round wheels of a bicycle.
I am sure most of us, who have entered the middle-age group have many a times experienced this cycle in life. I am no exception.
Post baby many women blame it on the natural process of bearing the child on their weight gain. Few however, take the cudgels and get back to shape.
My dilemma is never ending. I too took the cudgel and lost a good 10 kilos in 3-4 months...Sounds unreal? But it is true.
The effort however, was commendable- a low fat diet, strict yoga regime and almost 30 minutes of Pranayam did the trick. But, alas, most of the kilos were back in a couple of months of over indulgence- ice creams, chocolates and fries...
I decided to go the modern way this time- took to the gym- treadmill, cycling, light weight exercises...and of course a good diet schedule...Thank goodness another three months and I was back to shape...This seemed so much easier and cool. Eat, gain weight...then diet and loose the desired weight.
Few months later I was in the same boat after a good outing and digging into fat-filled food. Had to do away with the fat...but with lost inner strength, with a hurting knee and other hazards. Had to knock at the doors of my will power...it did answer my call. Just taken to Nature and its bounty in the open. Half an hour of exercise in a park nearby, hoping this will also do the trick.
My cycle started with yoga, moved on to a closed AC gym and has now reached "Nature's Gym'- an open space, which not only allows me to stretch well, but also digs into my mental space and gives me the much needed push to explore it further.
